Janis Fry

Janis Fry came to Wales from London in 1968 to study at Bangor University and Swansea College of Art. During the 80's she ran an international company producing painted silk gowns. This interest in the effects of light and colour eventually transferred to watercolour with which she found it possible to create depth, texture and things half seen, through transparent layering. Her paintings are also produced in ink and gouache, mixed media and acrylic paint. She has an enduring interest in the mysteries of the Celtic world and Yew tree mythology and is a published author...
